Major responsibilities

Major responsibilities of the BOED are:

  1. Studying and development of body of knowledge to prevent occupational and environmental diseases and control their health hazards.
  2. Determination and development of the standard for implementation of surveillance programme to prevent occupational and environmental diseases and control their health hazards.
  3. Conducting capacity building in terms of prevention of occupational and environmental diseases for related agencies including governmental sector, private sector and also target population.
  4. Collaboration and support of occupational and environmental diseases surveillance network system.
  5. Development of the body of knowledge including health examination, diagnosis and treatment of occupational and environmental diseases
